aniSearch voting 2023: Vote for your favourites of the year!

It’s finally back: the aniSearch voting! This year, too, you can finally once again choose the aniSearch anime series of the year, anime movie of the year, sequel of the year and Miss & Mister aniSearch of the year 2023. And we even brought a surprise in the form of a new voting category: the trash anime of the year! You decide who will knock the 2022 winners – Marin Kitagawa (Miss aniSearch), Loid Forger (Mister aniSearch), ”My Dress-Up Darling” (anime series of the year), “Jujutsu Kaisen 0”(anime movie of the year) and ”Kaguya-sama: Love Is War - Ultra Romantic” (sequel of the year) – off the throne and take the new spot on the pedestal!



Our new concept:
We completely revamped and optimised our old concept last year – no need for long nomination phases and boring rules! Instead, you can now vote with six simple clicks in the poll system and thus give your vote to your favourites. How is this possible? The editors have already made a pre-selection using the top lists of the year based on the aniSearch statistics. This pre-selection has doubled compared to last year, which means there is something for everyone!

In this vote, each of you has exactly one vote per category, and there will be no intermediate public results. Only after the voting is finished, the results will be made visible for everyone, and the winners will be chosen. This is the only way to keep it exciting until the end! A change of vote is also possible here at any time within the poll period but does not bring much without public intermediate results.

Selection criteria:

Anime series:

• The anime series must have been released in 2023 (Japanese release date) and be of the type TV series or Web.
• Long-running anime – those that launched in 2022 and earlier and ran past the turn of the year – are not eligible.
  

Anime movies:

• The anime movie must have been released in 2023 (German release date).
  
• Sequel as well as prequel movies are allowed.

Sequel of the year:

• The sequel must have been released in 2023 (Japanese release date).
• The prequel must not have been released in 2023 but must have been released in 2022 or earlier.

Characters:

• The character must have its first appearance in a series or movie with a start date in 2023. (For TV series, the Japanese start date still applies; for movies, the German start date applies).
• Manga and light novel characters are not eligible for this election.
