Ein düsterer Schleier liegt über der Shinyo Akademie. Es häufen sich die Fälle, dass Schüler plötzlich spurlos verschwinden oder gar Selbstmord begehen. Außerdem geht das Gerücht herum, dass der Todesbote Boogiepop dafür verantwortlich sein soll, sodass sich langsam aber sicher die Furcht der Schüler in unkontrollierbare Panik verwandelt. Gibt es diesen Boogiepop wirklich oder ist er nur eine Fantasiefigur von hysterischen Teenagern?
