Lin Qiushi tests the demo version of the game “Spirealm”. He enjoys the way the game presents challenges behind closed doors, with no hint of what is to come. Unfortunately, he then loses and can no longer play with his account.

When he arrives home, he finds a parcel containing another demo of the game, although the sender’s name is missing. Still, he tries out the game again, only to be confronted with strange hallucinations. Suddenly, he finds himself part of the game …!

Lin Qiushi testet für einen Bekannten eine Demo des Spiels »Spirealm«. Ihm gefällt das Spiel, bei dem man in einem dunklen Gang hinter jeder Tür eine neue und unbekannte Herausforderung meistern muss. Leider stirbt er in der Demo und kann von nun an nicht mehr unter seinem Account spielen.

Als er nach Hause kommt, liegt überraschenderweise ein Paket mit unbekannten Absender vor seiner Wohnung; darin eine andere Demo-Version des Spiels. Obwohl Qiushi misstrauisch ist, probiert er diese Version aus. Doch nach dem Spiel hat er plötzlich seltsame Halluzinationen. Und dann ist er auf einmal Teil des Spiels …!
