Mao lebt ein recht kompliziertes Leben. Sie zieht Geister an und muss stets aufpassen, dass ihr Vater seine Seele nicht verliert. Eines Tages trifft sie einen Mann, der sagt, er sei ein Seelenführer und habe es auf die Seele ihres Vaters abgesehen. Da Mao keine Mutter mehr hat, würde der Verlust ihres Vaters bedeuten, dass sie zu Verwandten ziehen müsste, doch gerade als alle Hoffnung verloren scheint, bietet der Seelenbegleiter ihr einen Deal an, mit dem Mao ihren Vater retten kann.
