Auf dem Wüstenmond Jedha kümmerten sich die »Wächter der Whills«, Chirrut Îmwe und Baze Malbus, um den Kyber-Tempel. Dann kam das Imperium, besetzte die Heilige Stadt und plünderte den Tempel. Nun tun Baze und Chirrut, was sie können, um die Bevölkerung zu beschützen. Eines Tages erscheint ein Mann namens Saw Gerrera und bietet ihnen die Chance, gegen das Imperium vorzugehen.
