Mit Pech in der Liebe und gebrochenen Verlobungen in ihrer Vergangenheit, ist die junge Ingrid jedoch entschlossen, in ihrer Heimat zu bleiben und ihre Zukunft selbst in die Hand zu nehmen. Dafür hat sie ein Auge auf den berüchtigt verkommenen Regan Espencer geworfen. Das Problem: Regan ist der einzige Mann im Königreich, der sie nicht heiraten will!
