Utena Hiiragi liebt nichts mehr als die lokale Magical-Girls-Gruppe Tres Magia. Sie vergöttert sie und wäre am liebsten auch ein Teil von ihnen. Als sie eines Abends auf dem Nachhauseweg ist, kommt ein komisches Maskottchen namens Venalita angeflogen und sagt ihr, sie könne ein Magical Girl werden. Doch, oh weh! Sie wird mehr ein Schurke als ein Magical Girl. Obwohl sie sich am Anfang noch gegen ihr inneres Böses wehrt, wird der Drang immer größer, bis sie schließlich doch ihre eigene böse Organisation Enormiita gründet. Denn sie hat nur ein Ziel: nicht die Weltherrschaft, nein! Sie will mit den Magical Girls aus ihrer Stadt so viele sadistische Spiele spielen, bis diese brechen. Das ist ihre wahre dunkle Seite. Wird sie es zusammen mit ihren neuen Freundinnen schaffen, oder war all die Liebe umsonst?
