Description

Dr. Kenzo Tenma is a neurosurgeon at a clinic in Düsseldorf. Indeed, it is the perfect job for a doctor like him if it weren’t for his superiors. Several times he has to give preference to influential patients regarding medical care.

One day, two siblings are admitted to the clinic, having been found at a crime scene. The little boy, Johann, is in mortal danger, but Tenma is ordered to operate on a well-known politician instead. He defies his senior doctor’s orders and treats the child. A fatal mistake he will later regret because Johann is not an ordinary boy. Tenma’s superiors are murdered a short time later, and the children, Johann and Anna, have disappeared without a trace.

Nine years later, murders are committed again, which are very similar to the events of that time. By chance, Tenma also gets involved in the investigation and shortly realises that Johann is, in fact, responsible for the murders. Soon he meets Johann, revealing his monstrous nature as he murders before Tenma’s eyes and thanks him for saving him at the time; That’s why he lets Tenma live. But he himself is now targeted by the police.

This marks the beginning of a life on the run and a journey across Germany because Tenma not only wants to find Anna again but also to stop the murders.
Deutschland, 1986.

There’s nothing special about being born. Not a thing. Most of the universe is just death, nothing more. In this universe of ours, the birth of a new life on some corner of our planet is nothing but a tiny, insignificant flash. Death is a normal thing. So why live?

  • Heinrich RUNGE

If you don’t want to be betrayed anymore… then start doubting the person you want to doubt the least.

  • Hartmann

As for Johan..he’s no soldier. Not by any means. He’s a natural born leader. He was meant to be on top! There’s no way we could have created such a work of art! He was beyond human from the start – a monster!
