Starving Anonymous (2014)

On a perfectly normal day, the two high school students Ie and Kazu are travelling home by bus – as usual. But suddenly, a strange gas spreads between the rows of seats and stuns them. When they regain consciousness, they are greeted by a sight that is as horrific as it is absurd: apparently, they are in some kind of container. All around them are frozen corpses while living people are busy sawing them apart. In order to survive, they must find out as quickly as possible what has happened and how they can escape this terrible nightmare.

An einem ganz normalen Tag fahren die beiden Oberschüler Ie und Kazu mit dem Bus nach Hause – wie immer. Doch plötzlich breitet sich zwischen den Sitzreihen ein sonderbares Gas aus, dass sie betäubt. Als sie das Bewusstsein wiedererlangen, erwartet sie ein ebenso grauenhafter wie absurder Anblick: Anscheinend befinden sie sich in einer Art Container. Überall um sie herum stehen tiefgefrorene Leichen, während lebendige Menschen damit beschäftigt sind, ebendiese zu zersägen. Um zu überleben, müssen sie so schnell wie möglich herausfinden, was geschehen ist und wie sie diesem schrecklichen Alptraum entkommen können.

l Giappone è stato colpito da un anomalo surriscaldamento climatico dalle cause sconosciute. Ie, un liceale che sogna di diventare un pittore, viene rapito mentre sta tornando a casa con l’amico Kazu. Al suo risveglio, si trova davanti una serie di scene raccapriccianti, degne di un girone infernale: esseri umani ibernati, altri messi all’ingrasso, del tutto incapaci di intendere e di volere. Malgrado lo spettacolo surreale sia al limite della comprensione, scoprirà ben presto che, nell’edificio in cui si trova, si svolgono eventi ancora più ripugnanti. Ma chi c’è dietro a tutte quelle atrocità? Ha inizio un survival horror in cui è in gioco la sopravvivenza del genere umano!
