On the outside, Souichi Negishi is a well-mannered boy who loves Swedish pop music and chic boutiques and always goes with the fashion. At the same time, however, he is also Krauser II, lead guitarist and singer of Detroit Metal City, an indie death metal band whose popularity is growing by the day. As soon as Souichi puts on the DMC make-up and he steps on stage, his talents as a death metal god grow within him. Is this really the band he is meant to be in?

Souichi Negishi, el protagonista de la historia, es un joven que abandona la granja de sus padres en la prefactura de Oita y se traslada a Tokyo con la intención de alcanzar su sueño: convertirse en maestro infantil. En la gran urbe sustituirá su pasión por el pop sueco por el death metal, formando una banda, la Detroit Metal City, y cambiando su nombre por el de Johannes Krauser II.

Negishi Soichi abbandona la propria vita nella fattoria di famiglia per trasferirsi nella grande città di Tokyo, dove vorrebbe fare il cantante di canzoni tradizionali. Destino vuole che qui diventi nientemeno che il leader della band death metal "Detroit Metal City", che sta scalando tutte le classifiche di vendita e popolarità. La personalità timida e impacciata di Soichi dovrà scontrarsi con quella dissacrante e blasfema di Krauser II, pseudonimo con il quale è conosciuto come cantante dei DMC. GO DMC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
