Die Splendid Film GmbH ist ein Tochterunternehmen der Splendid Medien AG. Das Unternehmen wurde 1974 von Albert E. Klein gegründet.

Das Unternehmen veröffentlicht unter den Labels Amasia, Splendid Animation und Splendid Film Filme auf DVD und Blu-ray.

Bei vielen Veröffentlichungen von Filmen aus China und Hong Kong greift Splendid auf das Bildmaterial des in Hong Kong ansässigen Unternehmens Fortuna Star zurück.

Die Splendid-Film Klein GmbH wurde am 15. November 1979 durch Klein gegründet, zuvor war das Unternehmen seit 1974 als Einzelunternehmen mit dem Namen Splendid-Film Albert E. Klein tätig.

Klein gründete im November 1987 das Tochterunternehmen Splendid Video GmbH in Köln. Dieses existierte bis November 1996, als es mit der zuvor gegründeten Splendid-Film Klein GmbH zusammengelegt wurde.

Im Jahr 1999 erfolgte eine Umstrukturierung des Unternehmens. Dazu wurde die Splendid Medien AG gegründet sowie die Splendid-Film Klein GmbH in Splendid Film GmbH umbenannt und als Tochterunternehmen etabliert.
