Sumita ist der Vize-Schülerratspräsident und trägt immer eine Sonnenbrille. Er scheint trotz seines grobschlächtigen Aussehens, ein netter Kerl zu sein. So versucht er Reiko durch sein Duell mit Sora, dass er vorsätzlich verliert, aus dem Einflussbereich des Schülerrates zu bringen und achtet während seines Kampfes darauf, dass er seine Waffe, Reiko, nicht beschädigt/verletzt. Laut Reiko, versuchte er nie sich ihr auf eine unangemessene Art zu nähern und er war ebenfalls dafür verantwortlich, dass Tougyuu sie letztlich aus ihrem Vertrag entließ. Scheinbar hat er etwas für sie übrig, denn als sie sich von ihren Verletzungen, die Tougyuu ihr zufügte, erholt, hinterlässt er für sie anonym ein Geschenk. Obwohl er nicht viel spricht, sprechen seine Taten für sich.
