Momoka Kibi ist eine schwerttragende Schülerin im 1. Jahr der Mittelstufe an der Tenchi Academy und (in der ersten Serie) Hayates Mitbewohnerin im Wohnheim. Sie ist unbeherrscht, ernst und hart. Momoka stammt aus Okayama und spricht eine Form des Dialekts dieser Region. Während sie auf der einen Seite ungehobelt und etwas konfrontativ ist, ist sie auf der anderen auch gutherzig und respektvoll gegenüber ihren Senpais und überaus loyal zur Schülerratspräsidentin Hitsugi Amachi.

Sie kam an die Tenchi Academy in der Absicht mit ihrer Kindheitsfreundin, Riona Takarada, ein Team zu bilden, doch die hat bereits eine andere Partnerin, Ouka Kiriya, stattdessen wurde Isuzu Inugami ihre Shinyuu. Während sie hinter Hayates Fortschritten im Schwertkampf hinterherhinkt, ist sie zumindest ihrer Hass-Freundin und ständigen Rivalin, Otoha Kijimiya, ein paar Schritte voraus.

Anmerkung:
Das Quartett Momoka Kibi (Momo = Pfirsich), Isuzu Inugami (Inu = Hund), Michi Sagara (Saru = Affe) und Otoha Kijimiya (Kiji = Fasan) sind eine Parodie der Charaktere des berühmten japanischen Volksmärchens Momotarou.
