Yaone ist eine höfliche und freundliche Frau, die von Kougaiji vor der 100-Auge Kreatur gerettet wurde. Seit diesem Vorfall blieb sie als treue Untergebene an seiner Seite. Häufig wird sie von Kougaiji dazu beauftragt, sich um Ririn zu kümmern, seiner Halbschwester.

Obwohl Genjo Sanzo und seine Gefährten ihre Feinde sind, ist sie immer nett zu ihnen, insbesondere gegenüber Cho Hakkai.
