In the year 2199 the Earth is facing its downfall: Gamila’s alien power has largely destroyed the Earth’s surface and they are close to defeating humanity. In these grim times, a hopeful message reaches Earth from Iscandar, a planet on the other side of the galaxy. They have an overwhelming technology that could make the Earth’s surface habitable again!

Mankind then assembles a crew for the newly developed space battleship Yamato. Together they want to risk the dangerous journey to Iscandar and back. However, they are not only confronted with the enemy Gamilas, but also with time itself, because if the Yamato doesn’t return within a year, all life on Earth will already be irrecoverably lost …

Jedoch sitzen ihnen nicht nur die feindlichen Gamilas, sondern auch die Zeit im Nacken, denn wenn die Yamato nicht binnen eines Jahres zurückkehrt, ist alles Leben auf der Erde bereits unwiederbringlich verloren …
