Nach den Geschehnissen der 1. Staffel von Nodame Cantabile bewegt sich nun diese Staffel Richtung Europa, genauer gesagt nach Paris in Frankreich. Nodame bekommt die Chance, in Paris zu studieren und hat so die Möglichkeit, ihrem geliebten Chiaki nahe zu sein. Dessen Traum ist es immer noch, ein großer Dirigent zu werden und so machen sich beide auf den Weg nach Europa. Angekommen in der Hauptstadt, erwarten die beiden etliche Herausforderungen, viele neue Freunde, jede Menge Musik und eine große Portion Spaß.
