Gorou Shigeno ist ein Baseball-Ass und sein Können in dieser Sportart sucht seinesgleichen und dementsprechend hoch sind auch seine Ziele. Nachdem er Kaido, der berühmtesten Baseball-Schule Japans, den Rücken zukehrte, sucht er nun eine neue Schule, um mit deren Baseball-Team noch erfolgreicher zu werden. Das ist jedoch leichter gesagt als getan! Wegen diverser persönlicher Gründe und insbesondere der Einmischung Egashiras lehnen alle Schulen mit einem Baseball-Club seine Bewerbung ab. Wird Gorou es trotz aller Hürden schaffen, einem Team beizutreten? Oder wird Koshien für immer unerreichbar für ihn bleiben?
