Description

A press conference is held at Beika Town Hall. “Cocoon”, a virtual reality game, is presented to the public. The latest technology is named after its cocoon-like capsules, in which game participants are connected to a computer and can thus interact with a virtual world. The detective boys are among 50 test subjects selected from all walks of life.

Shortly after the test subjects start the game, Mr Kashimura, the developer of Cocoon, is murdered. At the same time, an artificial intelligence, a virus called “Noah’s Ark”, takes over Cocoon’s computer and blocks any outside access to the system. The 50 people, including the detective boys and Rachel, are trapped in the machine. The enjoyable game transforms into a dangerous fight for life and death, with new rules: the goal is to solve a historical mystery. Only one person needs to win the game to save everyone, but should everyone fail, death follows for everyone in the real world.

Booker Kudo, Jimmy’s father, is also at the press conference but not involved in the game. He had only given the idea for the content of the game. Yusaku tries to find out what Kashimura’s murder is all about. Meanwhile, Conan and his friends find themselves in 19th century London, the world of “Sherlock Holmes”. There, strange serial murders are happening in Baker Street! Reality and fantasy mix in this dangerous game that balances 50 lives. And Conan is up against none more dangerous than Jack the Ripper! Will Conan and the others manage to escape from the game?
