Description

On 29 February in the year 2000, life on Earth changed in one fell swoop. Huge meteorites struck the surface, bringing with them more than their obvious destructive power. A new form of matter called “Möbius Dust” permeated the atmosphere and changed it from the ground up. This event went down in history as “2.29”.

But not everyone benefits from the new phenomenon. To draw attention to the far-reaching inequalities in Japanese society, the terrorist group “Bloody War Alliance” carries out numerous attacks on important economic targets in the country. A special police unit is to oppose them and prevent the whole of Japan from sinking into chaos

Februar des Jahres 2000 veränderte sich das Leben auf der Erde mit einem Schlag: Gewaltige Meteoriten schlugen auf der Oberfläche ein und brachten mehr als nur ihre offensichtliche Zerstörungskraft mit sich. Eine neue Form der Materie, genannt Möbius Dust, durchdrang die Atmosphäre und veränderten sie von Grund auf. Dieses Ereignis ging unter dem Begriff »2.29« in die Geschichte ein.

Doch nicht alle profitieren von dem neuen Phänomen. Um gegen die weitreichenden Ungleichheiten in der japanischen Gesellschaft anzukämpfen, verübt die Terroristengruppe Bloody War Alliance zahlreiche Anschläge auf wichtige wirtschaftliche Ziele des Landes. Eine Spezialeinheit der Polizei soll sich ihnen entgegenstellen und verhindern, dass ganz Japan im Chaos versinkt.
