Description
A thousand years ago, enormous creatures destroyed practically the entire civilization; among the few survivors, this event went down in history as the “Seven Days of Fire”. At that time, the “Sea of Rot” was also created – a vast, poisonous forest of fungi that is still expanding today, whose spores are sheer poison to most living things and therefore make large parts of the planet uninhabitable for humans.
The Valley of Winds is – thanks to the updrafts from the nearby sea – one of the few regions left for humanity to live. Nausicaä, the princess of the local people, is a young woman who, despite her warlike skills, prefers peace. Though, that very peace is severely disturbed when a transport ship belonging to the kingdom of Torumekia crashes near the valley.
A short time later, Torumekian forces, led by Princess Kushana, invade the valley to claim the cargo of the crashed ship: the embryo of one of the creatures that once decimated humanity. After being grown in the valley, it is to burn the poisonous mushroom forest, but this project could further worsen living conditions on the planet.
