Nachdem in »Girls und Panzer: Der Film« die Ooarai-Mädchenschule endgültig vor der Schulschließung bewahrt wurde, gibt es nun keine weiteren Gefahren für den Schulträger. Trotzdem will Momo kein Risiko eingehen und sucht unermüdlich nach neuen, frischen Panzern für die Senshado-Gruppe. Doch oh weh: Wegen der Suche hat Momo die Aufnahmeprüfung für die Universität verhauen. Als alle Momo trösten wollen, weil es so aussieht, als würde sie sitzen bleiben, haben Miho und ihre Gruppe eine geniale Idee: Momo soll beim Winter-Raupen-Cup als Kommandantin die Möglichkeit für ein Stipendium erhalten! Und das Glück scheint aufseiten der Ooarai zu sein. Denn der erste Gegner, die Freie Schule BC, gilt als zerstritten und unfähig zu einem geordneten Angriff. Oder vielleicht doch nicht? Und kann der neue Panzer, ein Mark-IV, die in ihn gesetzten Erwartungen erfüllen?
