In der Geschichte, welche in der „Udon Präfektur“ Kagawa spielt, geht es um Souta Tawara, den 30-jährigen Mann und Sohn eines Udon-Restaurant-Besitzers, der als Webdesigner in Tokio arbeitet.

Nachdem Souta eines Tages in seine Heimatstadt zurückkehrt, findet er im Laden seines Vaters einen verlorenen Jungen, der etwas seltsam wirkt. Kurzentschlossen nimmt Souta sich des Kindes an und bemerkt, dass Poko, so der Name des Kindes, plötzlich Ohren und ein Schwänzchen wachsen.
